CATV ケーブルテレビでインターネット
ケーブルテレビでインターネットは常識になってきた。
が、一般的にはＣＡＴＶのネットは何かと制限が多いし、使い勝手が悪そうなイメージがある。
ところが、近年になってケーブルモデムの国際規格が統一され各ベンダーも規格に準ずる製品を出荷している。
ほとんどのＣＡＴＶのネット用のモデムはこれになっている。
回線速度も最大３０Ｍ、ＩＰ電話の利用可能になってきている。
ＩＰ電話は2003年6月現在では試用段階で夏より一般利用ができる事業者が出てきそうである。
また、ブロードバンドルーターの利用も可能となり1回線で複数のＰＣの接続が可能になった。
ＰＳ２でオンラインゲームの利用もできる。
